Your oven is the one piece of kitchen equipment that is always being used but very hard to clean and maintain. Luckily, you can clean that big stuff with just three simple ingredients that are readily available in your kitchen. You just need to have patience because the process will require you to wait for half a day but the result is a squeaky clean oven you have always wanted.
The main ingredients of your cleaning mixture is just water and baking soda. However, you can also add lemon extract or essential oil to give it a boost. Just mix a cup of baking soda with 1/3 cup of water to come up with a paste like mixture and you’re good to go.
Once ready, remove the crates from the oven, get a sponge and start wiping it with the mixture until everything is covered. Then, let it sit to allow the mixture to do its thing. There is actually no requirement as to how long you need to leave it. But, leaving it for a longer period like half of the day is better to maximize the cleaning reaction.
When it’s time to remove the mixture, you have to prepare a spray bottle and put vinegar in it. The acid content of the vinegar will help you clean the paste. Then, you have to get a sponge soaked with water and wipe the entire oven.
For tough spots, you will want to get a spatula or bread knife to scrape the buildup. Make sure to clean up everything as you don’t want any baking soda residue left. Use a clean dry towel to wipe the oven once the all the mixture has been cleaned.
