Patients with complaints of excruciating pain, high fever, convulsion, and rashes are most common in a hospital’s Emergency Room. It’s very rare for us to see lovebirds declaring their commitment of forever to each other in this busy facility. But today, let me share with you a heartfelt story of a man who faked his health condition to propose to his beautiful girlfriend who happened to be an ER nurse.
Lauren Trulli is a nurse assigned at the ER department of Monmouth Medical Center. Everyday, she attends to patients in need of immediate medical care. What she didn’t expect is one day, she will have to rush to a patient who’s very dear to her heart, her boyfriend Tom Ciancia.
For nurses, doctors, and other medical providers, to see your loved one in pain or suffering from an illness is so painful. So imagine the roller coaster of emotions Trulli has been in when she heard the ambulance coming and it was her lover who has inside that huge loud vehicle.
Upon hearing the shocking news, Trulli went over to Ciancia’s side. The guy was actually wrapped on a stretcher as he was rolled inside the ER. Knowing that her boyfriend was allergic to peanuts, the girl knew that the man’s condition was serious if not deadly.
However, what made everything more terrifying for the girlfriend was Ciancia falling off from the stretcher! What a weird and awful day, isn’t it?
But as the guy slipped of the wheeled bed, he got down on his knee and showed a box with a ring inside. Oh, yes! He was proposing! And this, he did in front of all his girlfriend’s co-workers. The woman was so happy his boyfriend wasn’t really sick and bonus, he brought a ring!
So then it happened. Ciancia proposed to her lovely girlfriend at the ER. He said, “It was the best way to surprise you,” as he showed the ring to the girl. Trulli fortunately said yes despite the fear she felt before the proposal.
