Following “Pick Up Limes'” tips will help you prep meals like a boss. If this sounds interesting to you, check out the tips below!

Tip 1: Prepare onions for a whole week’s use.

Hate peeling and cutting onions? I feel you. So what do you do when you really don’t feel like chopping onions? Do you just remove them in your recipe?

If chopping onions is not your thing, then “Pick Up Limes” has one quick advice for you. All you have to do is use a food processor. Neat and simple!

So here’s what you can do to prepare onions for a whole week’s use. First, peel the onions and pulse them in a food processor until they are finely chopped. Next, cook them in a non-stick pan with a teaspoon of oil. Cook the onions in high heat until they soften.

Then, you should expect the onions to stick a little into the bottom of the pan. When this happens, add a cup of water and continue stirring. You can pour more water as needed until the onions are caramelized and perfectly cooked.

When done, transfer the onions to a container and let cool. Finally, store them in the fridge. It should be readily available whenever you need onions in your recipe. Nifty!

Tip 2: Peel garlic in advance.

Though garlic won’t make you cry, it will make your hands smelly! If you’re not too comfortable with the smell, then you might want to batch peel cloves of garlic similar to what you did with onions.

But this time, there’s no need to chop and cook them. All you need to do is store them in an airtight container. Then, place them in the fridge.

By following this tip, you no longer have to settle for garlic powder whenever your recipe requires garlic!
