All cat lovers must have celebrated the International Cat Day with fun and excitement this year. But among the many animal enthusiasts and pets on this day, there are two cats who received the coolest gift ever! Meet Cole and Marmalade, the two lucky felines who currently enjoy their DIY cat maze gifted by their pet owner.

Chris Poole is just like you. He loves his pets deeply and dearly. So he came up with the best idea on how to celebrate the International Cat Day with his beloved kitties.

Thinking that a maze would be a perfect gift, he gathered 50 cardboard boxes and employed his imagination in creating a DIY maze. And the DIY artist in him didn’t disappoint! Watch the video on the next page to see how Cole and Marmalade enjoyed their new play area!

To make things exciting for his pets, Poole also dropped some kitty food in some of the boxes. The cats were obviously enjoying their gift as they hop and search for more treats! All these while their pet owner happily watches them have fun in a DIY maze he created.

I like the maze myself. As a fan of all things DIY, I have not thought of creating a maze out of cardboard boxes for my kitties. I guess I have not found a time to make such a huge gift. I believe the grandest homemade toy I have gifted my cat is a yarn ball.

The International Cat Day

I know you landed on this post because you are a cat lover just like many of our readers. You basically now what the International Cat Day is all about. But this I still want to share to revamp our minds about what the event is all about.

The International Cat Day is an annual recognition and veneration of our lovely feline pets held for a whole day. It is the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW), together with other animal rights organizations, which launched the first festivity back in 2002.
