Have You Heard Of A Nutritious Edible Spoon You’ll Actually Love To Eat?

Edible cutlery is fun, nutritious, convenient and low cost. A wise alternative to plastic disposable cutlery by a man who gave up his old flat to create a technology that will help save the environment and human health. And I must say, he did the right thing!

The use of disposable cutlery has been widely observed in food chains across the world due to its convenience and low cost. However, did you know that these create a huge pile of waste as the type of plastic used in these spoons and forks is difficult to recycle?

Plastic disposable cutlery may also contain chemical compounds such as Bisphenol A (BPA) and phthalates which may leach into your food and beverages when heated repeatedly. Having said that, they could harm your health and the environment big time.

Thankfully, a man from India thought of a wise alternative, edible cutlery. Narayana Peesapathy is just like you. An individual who’s concerned about human health and the environment. And for these reasons, he decided to sell his old flat as a collateral security in order to collect more funds for his invention.

Apparently, this man needed a lot of startup money as the machinery necessary for his invention was not yet developed. Being the first in the whole wide world, Peesapathy had to create his own technology to manufacture his edible cutlery. But his hard work definitely paid off. Now, the whole of India can get a taste of the first digestible spoons!

Bakey’s edible cutlery is made from the flour of jowar or sorghum blended with rice and wheat. It contains no chemicals, fats, emulsifiers, artificial coloring as well as milk products. In addition, it has no preservatives just like dehydrated vegetables.

The edible spoons are nutritious and delicious. At first glance, you may think they are made of wood but you certainly can have a bite of it after consuming your meals. Bakey’s edible cutlery also comes in different flavors, including sugar, ginger cinnamon, ginger garlic, celery, black pepper, cumin, mint ginger, and carrot-beetroot. So many delectable flavors to choose from!
