Animals may be in different shapes and sizes. Be it a dog, a cat, a goldfish, a rabbit, a bird, a guinea pig, they all have a special place in a child’s heart. That’s why it hurts when they go missing.
Have you ever witnessed a kid being introduced to his first pet? With so much glitter in his’her eyes and literally just wanting to jump and jump and jump in joy and excitement? Well, that is somehow a definition of “first love” to them.
Like us, children also love pets. These tiny animals are usually their first best friends apart from the big bro or the big sis. Domestic animals become their playmates or their companions.
But let’s not discount the fact that dangers are everywhere. And at an early age, children exposed to pets must be continually observed by parents. Especially on how they handle their emotions towards their furbabies as sometimes, bad things can happen to our pets. And when they do, it is our children who become more affected than us.
This story I am sharing with you today is about a young girl who lost her dog. At 4, Maia already suffered a loss and she had no idea how to handle it well. She was really devastated when she found out that her yellow labrador, Sasha, was missing. Let’s revisit the full narrative below.
It all started when a burglar robbed Maia’s home, taking their valuable stuff, including Sasha, her yellow labrador. It has only been eight weeks since the little girl first met her furry friend but the two really bonded well. The tiny human even prefers to sleep beside her puppy in a dog bed rather than dozing off on her own comfy mattress.
Then the day came when the baddies robbed their house and as I mentioned above, Sasha was also taken. The incident really broke the heart of the whole family not just because their jewelries and other valuables were gone in 60 seconds. But they were also so saddened by the loss of the dog, especially Maia.
