It is a common stereotype in animals that pitbulls are dangerous and inherently aggressive. But a shelter pitbull named Marshmallow is a living proof that debunks that common belief.

Marshmallow is a sweet and adorable dog from the Unleashed pet rescue. Because of her hearing condition and the stereotype about her breed, nobody seems to be interested in adopting her.

Luckily for the adorable canine, she found a best friend in Scooby, a new dog sheltered at the Unleashed Pet Rescue and Adoption in Mission, Kansas. The two canines got along very well and has become best of friends since April.

Then came the agonizing moment for Marshmallow. A loving family arrived to finally adopt Scooby. This left the pit bull alone and heartbroken.

For weeks, Marshmallow has been holding her stuff toy, crying as much as she can to ease the pain. Her loneliness is evidently drawn on her face. Losing a best friend is really devastating. And that’s something we all understand, right?

Being one of the species known with an aggressive temperament, it is no surprise why Marshmallow was the one blotted out. But what’s more hurting is to lose a friend, someone you have long been waiting for. A somebody who gets you and accepts you despite your differences.

As mentioned above, Marshmallow has a hearing problem. She is deaf. And having formed a relationship with Scooby changed her life. Her old lonely days were over when her best friend arrived.

With Scooby by her side, the pit bull might have felt normal and equal with other dogs. But all the good times were ended when the dog had to leave the center.

So imagine how painful it is for Marshmallow. I really feel for this dog.. My heart broke in a million pieces when I learned about her story. A loving dog like her deserves an equally loving home. Do you agree?
