  • Eggs
  • Sugar
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Mascarpone Cheese
  • Salt
  • Espresso Coffee at room temperature
  • Amaretto liqueur
  • Ladyfingers
  • Cocoa powder for garnishing

For the steps, you need to make your mascarpone cream first. This one’s easy as it only involves mixing of 3 egg yolks and 3 tbsp sugar over a pan of simmering water.

You can use an electric mixer and continue blending until the mixture turns thick, creamy and pale yellow. Next, check the temperature. It should be 158 F (70 degrees celsius.)

Then, transfer the mixture into a bowl and add 1 tsp of vanilla extract. Stir a little. When the mixture is cooled, add the mascarpone cheese and blend them well.

Now, we only used the egg yolks earlier so you should have egg white leftovers, right? In a separate bowl, mix the egg whites with 2 tbsp sugar and a pinch of salt. Continue mixing until it turns foamy.

When done, combine this with your earlier mixture by gentle folding. Set aside.

Now combine 1 cup of espresso and 2 tbsp liqueur. Open a pack of ladyfingers and dip each cookie in the coffee mixture.

Next, spread a portion of your mascarpone cream in a rectangular pan. Layer the soaked ladyfingers on top. Do this two times. Then, top your dessert with the rest of the mascarpone cream. Cover and refrigerate for 4-6 hours.

Finally, remove it from the fridge and sprinkle some cocoa powder. Your classic tiramisu is ready!

You can now enjoy your super delicious homemade dessert. It tastes so perfect that it can make you forget all your worries, including your ex!
