Ashley Murrell made the headlines in the past few weeks when she found her husband, Mikey, dead on the couch after a heated argument. And recently, the woman is once again hitting your Twitter and Facebook newsfeeds as she made public her new boyfriend. Purportedly, the mother of three is pretending to be in a relationship with her late husband’s brother, Chris.
Citizens of the online world expressed dismay upon learning about Ashley’s new beau. The widow displayed their seemingly blooming love affair on Facebook, which sparked controversy whether it was rightful to be with her brother-in-law. However, the lady claimed that her relationship with Chris involves no romance.
After hearing the news, Ashley immediately came into their defense. The 33-year-old mom admitted she and Chris are now a couple but they’re only doing it for the children’s sake. Apparently, the kids are happier when their uncle is around. It appears Chris stands as the new father figure to the abandoned youngsters.
Also, Ashley makes it clear that Chris is in no way a replacement for Mikey. She reveals that she appreciates how her brother-in-law supports her kids in a massive way. In addition, the uncle made himself present for the family since his brother’s death.
Though Ashley claims she’s only faking her affair, concerned citizens still put her under fire. It seems social media followers just can’t believe this is the way she grieves for her departed husband. One Twitter user even branded Ashley’s decision as strange, adding that it looks like she intentionally killed Mikey to be with the latter’s brother.
We are in no position to judge and grade Ashley here, though. Whatever she does after losing her husband is for her to deal with. Her reason behind locking a fake relationship with Chris could be true or not. We can’t tell how painful it is to grieve for a loved one after all.
Each individual’s response to grief and bereavement is unique. It varies person to person and quite broad, I must add. As a matter of fact, the effect of a partner’s death increases the widow’s vulnerability to psychological and physical illnesses. That said, none of us can tell how Ashley is dealing with her life after Mikey’s demise.
