How To Alleviate Sore Throat Using Awesome Ingredients Found In The Kitchen

You might be here because you’re feeling a bit under the weather due to a painful throat. Or maybe someone in your family is suffering from a burning sore throat. If any of these is your case, I am happy you found this post.

Today, I want to share a recipe that can alleviate a sore throat using awesome ingredients found in the kitchen. But I want to put a disclaimer here first. The ingredients used in this recipe work wonders therapeutically. However, each of us have unique health conditions so, what worked for me might not work for you.

But you are still free to go ahead and try this method if you need a natural remedy for your sore throat. Unless of course, your doctor restricted you to consume any of the ingredients given below (which is less likely, I guess). So without further ado, let’s get started!

Here’s a list of what you’ll need:

  • A thumb-sized ginger
  • A whole piece of fresh lemon
  • A bottle of honey
  • A clean jar or container with a lid

Step 1:

Peel of the ginger. You can use a peeler, which I find quite tough. Or just use a small knife.

Step 2:

Cut the ginger into tiny and thin pieces.

Step 3:

Wash the lemon and proceed to cut the imperfections. What I do is I cut both tips on the opposite ends.

Then, continue cutting the fruit into thin slices. Remove the seeds. Otherwise, your mixture will be bitter and you don’t like that.

If you have noticed, I didn’t ask you to peel the lemon. This is because lemon rind or the peel are believed to contain five to 10 times more vitamins than its juice. So, we don’t we really want to throw that away.

Step 4:

Now, layer the lemon slices and ginger pieces in your jar.

Step 5:

Here comes the yummy, healthy honey! Pour a cup or two of honey into the jar. Make sure that all ginger pieces and lemon slices are covered with the sweet natural sugar.
