Is your baby old enough to eat solid food? But are you too busy to prepare natural food for him/her? I get you. That’s why today, I want to share 3 healthy and easy to prepare baby food perfect for busy moms like you.
Recipe 1: Apple Puree
Apple is a very nutritious fruit that you can introduce to your baby as early as 6 months old. It contains phytochemicals that act as antioxidants, which can help cure stomach discomforts.
In preparing an apple puree, you need to peel the fruit first then slice into squares. You also have to remove the core with the seeds.
Next, simmer them in a saucepan for 10 minutes. Now, place the cooked apples in the baby food mill or masher. When done, plate some for the baby and put the rest in a food storage so you can refrigerate it for tomorrow.
Recipe 2: Vegetable Patch
This one’s also easy to make as it only requires steaming and mashing different kinds of vegetable. However, you need to make sure that you have already introduced each vegetable in the mixture to your baby individually. This is important so that you’ll know none of these vegetables will hurt your baby’s tummy.
In preparing a vegetable patch, peel and slice any vegetable your baby likes. It’s recommended that you cut them in equal sizes so they can cook evenly.
Steam the veggies for about 10 to 15 minutes. Then, mash them together using a baby food mill. Plate some for your baby and again, put the rest in storage containers to refrigerate for later consumption.
Recipe 3: Chicken
If your baby has been eating solid food for a few months now, you can start introducing chicken to his/her meals. But since they still cannot chew like we do, you still need to mash the chicken so the baby can eat it properly.
In preparing a chicken meal for your baby, pick the breast part of the meat and boil. Next, shred them into pieces and put in the baby grinder.
Add cooked rice and some peaches. Grind all the ingredients together and your baby will surely enjoy his/her next meal! You can also refrigerate some of the mixture for the next day.
I hope these 3 easy recipes can help you prepare quick and healthy food for your growing baby. If you think this post is useful, share it with your friends on Facebook!
